I was searching online and going through various options for our 1st month wedding anniversary. As I wanted to make it very very special for both of us.
When I called Tantu Designs, their manager picked the call, but I insisted to talk to Pranshu Garg (the designer itself, who was busy at the time). But I must say Pranshu was really prompt to get back to us within an hour, and patiently listen and understand to our requirement.
We were asked if we had fabric or not which we didn't had.
So she told that she will arrange the same as per our budget and we can visit their boutique to finalise from a very exhaustive booklet of fabrics they showed us. Also she suggested various styles for our dress and the one we agreed on she sketched out then and there itself on her iPad (which I believe was a tremendous job), to show us a glimpse on how the dress will finally look like.
We were given the garment delivery date for after 5 days for which we had no problem with. Later we were asked once to visit the boutique for the trail. And post that on final delivery which was made on the 6th or 7th day (don't exactly remember).
To mention, we Had the mens sherwani booked from Mohanlal and Sons. So mix matching the fabric and colours for the gown, I would say Pranshu did an outstanding job there.
Prices: We had our budget of approx. 5K. Which was agreed upon by Pranshu. But I think "IT WAS TOTALY WORTH IT"! (though we got a discount of 200/- upon requesting her.)
After seeing the garment we were soo happy and specially everyone in the family was really appreciating it.

It was a horrible experience! Definately a NO NO! I myself being a NIFTIAN and from a design background, was shocked to see the understanding and quality of work i got from this boutique. The way pranshu deal with the customer is really not appreciable. I got a fabric from a shop recommended by her, to which later she said, that she doesnt like that shop as it is over priced and sell low quality fabric. she messed up the entire garment for me and my daughter which we were supposed to wear on my daughter's first birthday (twinning). After messing up both the garment, she had the audacity to speak so rudely. Super money minded, took 50% payment in advance, still refused to give me one garment to match the accessories. I was helpless as I had one day left for the occasion. i was forced to pay the full amout. After taking the full amount, the quality of alterations she did was horrific. I asked her to remake the garment. she agreed to it after so much discussions. Next day I went again to see the new dress made from the previous fabric only. again what i got was pathetic quality dress. The sides were unfinished, the bottom finished in a way that lining was shorter and main fabric was hanging from the front. My daughter's gown box pleats were opening at the bottom, spoiling the entire look.
Finally we could not wear those dresses and. she had charged 2000 for a 1yr old gown. 1800 for my plain dress. The altered one was not even worth 1000 stitching. I told her to refund my money to which she denied completely and arrogantly. The most horrible experience. A small tailor does a better dealing than Tantu. Pls do not waste your hard earned money at this unprofessional boutique. Will share the pics shortly of the garments.
