Our Real Wedding

I had always dreamt of a fairytale wedding with only close bunch of people and no stress of planning and last minute hustle bustle. And luckily, I managed to pull that off. We always knew we wanted a destination wedding and the day our families said yes, our venue hunt began.The idea of a jungle wedding stood out for us and that's how we finalised Jim Corbett near Nainital as our destination.

My favourite ceremony was the my Bong Haldi. Ours was an inter caste marriage and we managed to combine the fun traditions from both communities. The theme was yellow, which is why my entire bridal squad wore gorgeous shades of yellow for the early morning function.

My husband was an equal part of the planning process and we divided our decision areas and roles. He took the responsibility of finalising the resort and I took the responsibility of finalising the photographer and wedding planner.

My biggest learning was to opt for experienced vendors. The Wedding Planning Company helped us a lot and I credit them for coming up with many quirky ideas. We started planning in advance, which helped us avoid last-minute glitches.
