Our Real Wedding

My husband Apoorva and I have been acquaintances since childhood and share a common best friend. Despite her asking us to date for years, we just met amidst the pandemic in November 2020. We instantly hit it off and like how it's said that fairy tales do come true, we decided to start ours in April 2021. At the time we planned our dream wedding, we didn't know what the pandemic would have in store for us. Complete lockdown was announced during our wedding week. However, we couldn't wait to start our lives together and hence got married in intimate ceremonies at home and in my parents' school. Right from having a traditional Radha Krishna set up during our engagement ceremony to having the most vibrant and fun haldi and mehendi ceremony leading to a completely unconventional wedding in a school auditorium, it was a myriad of memorable experiences.
