Our Real Wedding

We decided to get married in our hometown Srinagar. The wedding took place at Nigeen Club which is at the bank of Nigeen Lake, a sister lake of the famed Dal Lake.

We had an outdoor day mehendi function. I wore the mehendi in day under a beautiful canope while the guests enjoyed the scenic lake view and boat rides as well as Kashmiri Kahwah and bakery.

Traditionally in Kashmir, the grooms family comes with Mehendi and goodies and they did so in the evening. This fucntion also took place outdoor. The guests enjoyed the sunset views.I wore a white lehenga. This dress was worn muslim side, with only a big paasa and no maang tikka. my make up artist and I decided to play it up. I wore a white lehenga with golden work, a mix of Dabka, Zari and french knot work in whote with sequins. The Lehnga was done by Myraa in Shapurjat.

For Reception i wore a bottle green lehenga by Asiana Couture. On the day of mehndi, I wore a green sharara by Ministry of Design - Shapurjat and my evening dress was by Jayant and Rajest Raj.
