Our Real Wedding

I got married to my 5 years old (then) Boyfriend- Shivam Dasadia, in presence of our friends and family. We both are Gujarati and got married in a simple Gujarati Ceremony. Our wedding was a budget bonanza and the hashtag was #ShivMikiShaadi.

The total functions involved in the wedding were 5, namely Mehendi, Ganesh Sthapana and Mandap Muhurta, Sangeet and Engagement, Grah Shaanti and Haldi followed by the actual Wedding Ceremony. Ours was partially a destination wedding as the destination was not so far away from our place of residence.

My Husband and I have known each other just as acquaintances since childhood as we stayed in the same society. I and his sisters used to play together as children (And it is so shocking that we never even played together once). In 2011, after I got Broadband Connection at home and finally made a Facebook account and added him there. And that is how the actual conversations started. We started chatting first, and then decided to meet for coffee and without even knowing we fell for each other. On 4th May, 2018 he finally proposed and we got our Roka done on 13th May, 2018.
