My interest in graphic design has been more natural rather than ‘cultivated’. Even before I formally ventured into the professional world, for over four years I spent my free time doing abstract pencil sketches and playing with the tools of design on the computer. I have always been instinctively drawn to casual and technical design, patterns and symmetry and other trends that brighten up a given environment.
My association with new york, a land where design trends are often invented, enables me to incorporate certain ideas in my work. My long drawn association with India helps me amalgamate these modern patterns with traditional and ethnic designs.
I think that everyone has an imaginative edge, all it needs is a simple idea to spark it off, and the rest is called creation in its own way. "Art as it were" an extension of the mind.
