Our wedding was a grand affair in Delhi NCR, with 260 guests, including more than 100 international attendees, spread across three venues over five days. In an effort to encourage and support young professionals from a small town, we chose Shubhamreigns, a small photography agency recommended by a family member. This is a team of young photographers headed by Shubham Singh, the most unprofessional, disoriented and disorganized person. Unfortunately, this decision proved to be a mistake, as the service they provided was deeply disappointing. Here are the key points of concern:
1. Punctuality Issues: Out of the five wedding events, the photography team arrived late resulting in the loss of irreplaceable moments. Key ceremonies and once-in-a-lifetime memories were missed entirely, which is simply unacceptable. We later had to request guests to share their videos pictures to add to the videos/ reels and the final outcome is no where close to professional results.
2. Drone Camera Usage: The photographer’s lack of experience with drone cameras was glaringly evident. Instead of capturing cinematic aerial views or angles of ceremonies that photographer could not catch, the footage resembled like an aerial land survey, with no artistic direction or consideration of the event’s atmosphere.
3. No Differentiation Between Traditional and Candid Photography: Although we paid for both traditional and candid photography, there was no evident difference in the results. The candid shots, which are supposed to capture spontaneous moments, were nonexistent. What we received were standard, posed photos that lacked the emotion and authenticity we were expecting.
4. Incomplete Group Pictures: Shockingly, the group photos were poorly executed, with several key family members missing from the frame. A photographer's basic duty is to ensure everyone is included in these important pictures, but this simple task was mishandled.
5. Continuous ceremony videos shot in pieces- the video coverage was broken in small prices while recording thereby missing the continuity of recording a ceremony. Parts if ceremonies are now missing in final product.
6. Disastrous Multi-Generational Photo: One of the most significant moments we wanted to capture was a photograph featuring four generations of our family. Unfortunately, the photographer failed to manage this, resulting in a poorly composed and poorly timed photo. The moment, which could never be recreated, was lost forever.
7. Unacceptable Delays in Deliverables: The contract specified a timeline for the delivery of photos and videos, but the actual deliverables were delayed by a staggering eight months. Even now, some of the promised deliverables, like the photo albums, are still not completed. After countless follow-ups and broken promises, we have finally given up on the agency. It has become more stressful to deal with them than to wait any longer for the work to be finished.
8. Untrained Staff: It was clear that the staff lacked proper training in both photography and editing. The photos lacked professional quality with inconsistent colors and poor cropping. This level of service is far below what was promised and expected. The only person that serious was the editor Ayaz who also lacked feedback, direction and training on latest techniques from the supposed boss Shubham. Shubham Singh came across like a kid out of middle school with no regard for the client, always finding excuses, not in control of his own business and completely non responsive.
9. Excessive Follow-Ups Required: Throughout the process, we were forced to chase the agency for updates on our deliverables. Despite numerous follow-ups, communication was poor, and we often received vague or unhelpful responses. This lack of professionalism added unnecessary stress to what should have been a joyous occasion.
In summary, Shubham and his team failed to meet even the most basic expectations for wedding photography. The service was marred by tardiness, lack of expertise, poor photo quality, unacceptable delays, and incomplete deliverables. I cannot recommend this agency to anyone looking to capture their special moments. A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and unfortunately, the memories of ours were tarnished by this substandard service. We have since cut all communications with them, as it has become clear that continuing to engage with the agency is more stressful than it is worth.
