Organising a wedding is a huge task in itself. Add to it a huge venue like a convention hall, and the checklist of things that you need to take care of immediately goes up. 1. Hire a wedding planner

2. Warn your guests about the size of the venue

Millennial couples these days are very chill these days and if you are one too, then you should very subtly inform your guests that venue is huge, there will be a lot of walking involved and so they must dress accordingly (read: avoid heels, ladies). 4. Sufficient seating

At a huge venue like a convention hall, it is very important that enough seating arrangements are done for the guests. There should be sufficient place for at least 25 to 30 per cent of your guests to be seated while the others move around.

All the food must be served in one area of the hall and guests should have enough space to move around while they eat. Do not forget to place a few chairs and tables in the dining area.

6. Finger foods to be served in abundance

It is a fact well-known and accepted that most people who go to Indian weddings eat snacks more than anything else. A wedding party can have guests of all age groups, right from tiny kids to old uncles and aunties. So, for the benefit of such guests, huge flat screens should be placed around the venue so that everybody can see what’s happening on the stage and around.

8. Ventilation is a must

There is a difference between air conditioning and ventilation. While the temperature control could be on point, a huge convention hall with a large number of guests can get too stuffy very quickly. Make sure you pick a convention hall which has sufficient ventilation outlets like inbuilt exhausts or maybe even good old windows.

9. Water should be easily accessible to all the guests

We know that you must have thought of water, but what might not know is that water is the one thing that is consumed most at a wedding. So instead of placing it in one or two spots at the venue, make sure water carts are placed all around the convention hall so that it is easily accessible for all your guests.

10. Clean washrooms, happy guests

Make sure the convention hall that you pick has neat and well-maintained washrooms. Not many people pay attention to this important detail when picking a venue and it creates quite a mess for the guests, honestly.
