Patchwork lehengas are raging big time in the Indian wedding-fashion scenes and this trend is here to stay! This ensemble by SVA Couture is a visionary outfit for the next-gen bride. With a mix of patterns and hues, this print-on-print lehenga is speaking volumes for itself.

A model and debutant in the film industry, Alaya F, took the ramp in her stride wearing a Geometric pattern lehenga by Sonam & Paras Modi's SVA Couture. Geometric patterns are full of drama which provide a lot of movement and structure to the outfit, and therefore, are the next big trend to take over the bridal fashion industry by storm for all the right reasons.
Lehenga with Belts

Lehenga with belts have become an essential addition to the couture collection of Indian designer and we're not surprised. They have been in the wedding-fashion scenes for quite some time now and we don't see this trend going anywhere any soon. We're head over heels for this metallic grey belted lehenga by designer Punit Balana. The gold embroidery and borders are giving a rich dimension to the monotone lehenga.
Ghagra-style Lehenga Skirts

Tara Sutaria looked like a complete diva in a blush pink ghagra-syle voluminous lehenga paired with a flattering scoop-neck blouse design. The stunning Gota Patti embroidery and the chunky bunch of latkans added the needed grace to this oh-so-minimal lehenga. The tousled hairdo and statement jewellery pieces added to her glam as a showstopper.
3D Embellished Lehenga Sets

We're stunned with the unconventionality of this masterpiece created by millennial designer, Sunaina Khera. Right from the classic black and red combination, the 3D dragonfly embellishments on this ensemble makes it a treat for the eyes. Depicting the essence of new beginnings and life, Sunaina Kher's collection, 'Promises' celebrated hopes, wishes and dreams of that of a bride.
Solid Bridal Lehengas

Another favourite from the collection of Sunaina Khera, this one is for all the minimalistic brides who dread the slightest thought of having to don a heavy lehenga for their D-day. This luxurious solid lehenga set with full-sleeves blouse looks stunning and truly ponders the style of an unconventional bride. It is thoughtfully paired with a tulle stole and veil that has thousands of 3D organza flowers embroidered on them.
Multi-panelled Sequin Sarees

Being a timeless drape, a saree is a festive-wardrobe staple for not just the brides but every woman and hence, every Indian designer makes sure to add at least one saree design in their signature couture collections. With endless possibilities that the drape comes with, this sequin saree design with long palla and net pleats definitely made it to our list of favourites from LFW Summer/Resort 2020.

Actress Dia Mirza looks unexplainably ravishing in this showstopper ensemble by House of Kotwara. The chikan and pearl-encrusted corset blouse paired with a grey kora zardozi lehenga is a visionary outfit for the new-age brides to don at pre-wedding or post-wedding ceremonies like Sangeet, Engagement or Reception. The all-frill Gota dupatta adds a touch of delicacy to this bold number.
Pant Sarees with Belts

While pant sarees are not a newly discovered trend in the bridal fashion scenes, the texture play in the garment makes all the difference. With 3D embellished borders and belt detailing, this pant saree style look amazingly dope and would make for a stunning outfit option for bridesmaids to kick-start this wedding season.
From heavy texture play to a mix-match of prints, we are thrilled with every collection the designers showcased at Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020. The artistic and fresh amalgamation of silhouettes, colours and fabrics give us an official kickstart to the summer wedding season, and we're sure it looks nothing like ordinary.
